At the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, we are dedicated to making a difference. We intentionally foster a diverse and equitable museum that encourages and embraces creativity and innovation.
As a community leader, we recognize the impact we have on all aspects of our society, including economic, social, and environmental. We hold ourselves accountable to our community, our fans, our partners, and ourselves.
DIVERSITY, EQUITY, ACCESSIBILITY & INCLUSION
Rock & roll is a diverse and inclusive art form that mirrors and shapes the times.
Artists have been a voice of change and advocates for social justice for generations and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame shares this through our intentional curation of exhibits, programs, and outreach. We intentionally foster a diverse and equitable museum that encourages and embraces creativity and innovation.
As a community leader, we value, empower, and respect all people. We provide all team members equal access to information, development, and opportunity. We acknowledge historical inequities and purposefully create an environment where each person feels accepted, appreciated, and safe to utilize their unique experiences and perspectives.
IMPACT
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame seeks to build long-lasting relationships with Cleveland community organizations.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is itself a non-profit organization, but we provide generous in-kind support to the hundreds of worthwhile organizations located throughout Northeast Ohio. In 2008, we donated more than $80,000 to support local events and charitable causes.
In 2015, the Rock Hall was one of just 25 nonprofits designated a member of the “Commission 50″ by a Greater Cleveland Partnership program called the Commission on Economic Inclusion. This honor recognizes the organization’s significant accomplishments regarding diversity and inclusion.
FAIR EMPLOYMENT & EMPLOYEE ETHICS
The Rock Hall is committed to providing equal employment opportunity. We hire and promote individuals who best meet the requirements of available positions and who have the best potential for advancement. We comply with all applicable equal employment opportunity laws and decisions regarding hiring, promotions and other terms of employment and termination are not based on any form of recognized diversity discrimination.
The Rock Hall is also committed to providing a work environment in which all employees are treated with dignity and respect. Sexual harassment and harassment on the basis of any type of diversity is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
The Rock Hall strives to maintain an environment that allows its activities and operations to meet high ethical standards. The success of the Rock Hall depends on public confidence, trust, and support. Employees are expected to conduct themselves according to high standards, in an honest and ethical manner, and with personal integrity to merit the continued trust and confidence of the public.
COMMUNITY BUSINESS ENTERPRISE PARTICIPATION
The Rock Hall believes that the equitable inclusion in all contracting and procurement opportunities is critical to developing a sustainable work force in the community and to a thriving local economy and shared prosperity.
The Rock Hall is dedicated to ensuring that minority-owned, women-owned, historically underutilized/other disadvantaged business enterprises and local NEO small businesses, and their employees have a fair and reasonable opportunity to participate in all Museum procurement activities, using best efforts to ensure that for every procurement activity at least one of each is considered. In turn, contractors, suppliers, and service providers are expected to make a good faith effort to maximize diverse participation through their internal and external hiring practices.
This work helps us have a direct impact on the wider North East Ohio Community, contributing to the vibrant economic environment. At the Rock Hall, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion is more than just a policy. It supports our mission and defines our future.
