Looking for a way to engage and inspire students, and leverage the power and history of rock & roll in the classroom?
Join us for 2024 Summer Teacher Summit hosted by Rock Hall EDU! This experience is free, virtual, and full of fun! Note that participants in our virtual conference will also be eligible for our in-person summit later in the summer.

Here are just a few sessions that the summit will offer:
- Perspectives Through Music Workshop – Discover how to use musical listening activities to discuss and reflect on topics of race, gender, sexuality, geography, and socioeconomic status by focusing on one song related to those identities. This workshop empowers educators wanting to facilitate discourse about these topics with their students through the medium of popular music.
- Beyond the Background: Sound, Context, Meaning at the Rock Hall – Learn how to use sound, context, and meaning, through active listening, historical research, and self-reflection, to create learning experiences, content, and programs.
- “Hello Cleveland:” Why Cleveland is the Home of Rock & Roll – Explore how and why rock & roll began, what Cleveland’s role was, how the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame formed, and why the city of Cleveland, OH was selected as the physical home of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
- Meet the Curator with Q&A – Amanda Pecsenye (Director of Curatorial Affairs) from the Curatorial Team will facilitate a Q&A session about the museum’s artifacts and exhibits.
- Building Playlists with a Purpose – Learn how you can apply playlists in your classrooms.
