2024 Artists in Residence, Joe Brown and Karina Eleni perform on the Rock Hall’s Union Home Mortgage exterior plaza.
The Artists in Residence program at the Rock Hall is in partnership with The Kulas Foundation. Now in its fifth year, the program focuses on up-and-coming musicians from the Northeast Ohio area. During their summer with us, the artists perform regularly on our plaza, spend time writing songs, and develop their musical skills.
Karina Eleni is a Los Angeles native, but a Cleveland girl at heart (due to her huge Greek family who all live in Ohio). Karina’s passion for singing and songwriting began at a very early age-she’s been singing as long as she could talk. Her songs are a bold blend of Pop, Rock and Jazz. Currently a rising senior at NYU, Karina performs her music all over New York City at venues like: The Bowery Electric, The Delancey, 54 Below and City Winery to name a few.
Joe Brown is a songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Hudson, Ohio. Beginning his musical career as a tubist in the middle school band, Joe has since then explored every area of music available to him. Most significantly, as the Covid pandemic rang in his senior year, he spent his time self-learning the guitar as well as recording. Now attending Baldwin Wallace University, Joe remains a busy artist, releasing singles, collaborating with friends, and performing with various groups like the “BW Beatles” and his own “Joe Brown Band,” which recently had its headlining debut at the Grog Shop.
