The Art of a Young Jimi Hendrix
Young Hendrix was clearly captivated by the excitement and energy of live sports. He has captured that in this 1958 "action-shot" drawing of speedboats racing. You can see his attention to detail in both his use of color and his descriptions written on the page.
November 27, 2012 would've been Jimi Hendrix's 70th birthday. As part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's celebration of the life and career of Jimi Hendrix, the Museum is home to a singular Jimi Hendrix exhibit, including drawings he made as a youngster growing up in Seattle, Washington with his father Al Hendrix.
