The Art of a Young Jimi Hendrix

This is a good example of the diversity in Jimi's talent, even as an amateur 2-D artist. Though most of his drawings are pencil, and a few in crayon, here we see he wasn't afraid to try other mediums, as well. And even in this watercolor you can see the same amount of 'quickness' and movement captured in the other non-watercolor examples. November 27, 2012 would've been Jimi Hendrix's 70th birthday. As part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's celebration of the life and career of Jimi Hendrix, the Museum is home to a singular Jimi Hendrix exhibit, including drawings he made as a youngster growing up in Seattle, Washington with his father Al Hendrix.
