The Art of a Young Jimi Hendrix5/6

The Art of a Young Jimi Hendrix

A quick 1956 pencil sketch of a sleeping dog titled 'Prince.' Prince was Jimi’s first dog. Jimi found him wandering around the family’s house on 26th Avenue in Seattle. He brought him home and named him. Later, the family also adopted a cocker spaniel named Puddles. November 27, 2012 would've been Jimi Hendrix's 70th birthday. As part of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's celebration of the life and career of Jimi Hendrix, the Museum is home to a singular Jimi Hendrix exhibit, including drawings he made as a youngster growing up in Seattle, Washington with his father Al Hendrix.
