Fall Films: Wayne’s World
This week, we’re showcasing Wayne’s World—a big-screen spin-off of the “Saturday Night Live” skit. Rob Lowe plays a producer who wants to take the public access show Wayne’s World to commercial television. Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) battle to save their show and Wayne’s girlfriend from Lowe.

Fall Films: School of Rock
This week, we’re showcasing School of Rock. Overly enthusiastic guitarist Dewey Finn (Jack Black) gets thrown out of his bar band and finds himself in desperate need of work. Posing as a substitute music teacher at an elite private school, he exposes his students to the hard rock gods he idolizes—much to the consternation of the uptight principal (Joan Cusack). As he gets his privileged students in touch with their inner rock ‘n’ roll animals, he imagines redemption at a local Battle of the Bands.

Fall Films: The Blues Brothers
This week, we’re showcasing The Blues Brothers. After his release from prison, Jake (John Belushi) reunites with his brother, Elwood (Dan Aykroyd). Their first mission: save the orphanage where they grew up by raising $5,000 to pay back taxes. Convinced they can earn the money by getting their old band back together, the brothers face daunting odds as they dodge police and other enemies along the way.

Fall Films: Hairspray
This week, we’re showcasing Hairspray. An unpopular but optimistic high-school teen in early 1960s Baltimore gets onto a local dance program, which she eventually integrates, causing a scandal in the whole city.
