The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame + Museum

Fundraising Events

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum regularly hosts two signature fundraising events each year.  Proceeds from these fundraisers support the educational programs at the Museum.

Induction Ceremony

The ultimate honor in rock and roll is bestowed upon artists each spring.  The 2012 Inductees are Beastie Boys, Donovan, Guns N' Roses, Laura Nyro, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Small Faces/The Faces, Freddie King, Don Kirshner, Cosimo Matassa, Tom Down and Glyn Johns.

It’s Only Rock and Roll Benefit

It's Only Rock and Roll Benefit features a diverse group of artists playing their greatest hits.  It’s been called the “Party of the Year” in Cleveland.  The 2011 Benefit was on May 14 and kicked off the opening of the Museum's newest exhibit Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power.  The concert featured Inductees Darlene Love, Wanda Jackson and Mavis Staples, as well as Cyndi Lauper, Chuck Jackson, and Curt Smith.

American Music Masters

This educational program features a week-long series and an evening concert dedicated to an American Music Master.  The event honors artists whose careers have had a significant influence on the birth of rock and roll and its ongoing evolution.  The 2011 American Music Masters series was held October 31-November 5. The 2011 honoree was Aretha Franklin.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum also holds several exhibit openings and smaller, more intimate fundraising events throughout the year.
