This fall season the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum is pleased to once again host the World Festival, an annual event that celebrates ethnic diversity in greater Cleveland. The World Festival will take place in the Rock Hall’s Main Lobby on Sunday, October 14th from Noon to 4 p.m. The event is FREE, however paid admission is necessary to tour the Rock Hall's exhibits. The Rock Hall’s Community Festivals are sponsored by KeyBank.


The greater Cleveland area is a rich mosaic of ethnic groups, each with their own traditions and musical legacies. This colorful festival with participants in their native costumes celebrates each culture through song and dance.

Performers at this year’s World Festival include:
·    Mahima Venkatesh – Indian Folk Dance
·    Moises Borges – Brazilian Jazz
·    Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Dancers – Greek Folk Music and Dancing
·    The Vernon Jones Blues Cartel – Blues Band
·    Wind and Sand Dance Company – Middle Eastern Dance
·    Aretha Willis – Belly Dance
·    Calvin Wilson – Reggae Artist
·    Women in the Spirit – R&B Group

Terry Macklin Entertainment will emcee the event and provide fun for the entire family with interactive dancing, as well. Local vendors will also offer international flavor with a diverse assortment of products, including arts and crafts, to the event.

  Celebration of greater Cleveland’s diverse ethnic communities is essential to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum and Ohio Natural Gas. The Museum’s community festivals offer opportunities for Cleveland’s diverse ethnic communities to become more acquainted with the Rock Hall and the range of music styles and cultures it celebrates. Each festival offers free entertainment from national and local artists. These festivals are among the Museum’s most successful events, often with record-setting crowds. The community festivals are organized around specific dates and themes.

All festivals are FREE and open to the public. Paid admission is necessary to tour the Museum unless otherwise noted.

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR., FESTIVAL
Free admission day
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum celebrates this National Holiday with free admission to the general public. A celebration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., is the focus of this glorious day of song and dance by outstanding national and local artists.

ROCK YOUR WORLD
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum partners with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s Arts Education Department in the presentation of its All City Arts Festival. This event is designed to feature the best work in all the arts disciplines of the students of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, from grades K-12.

ROCK AND SOUL FESTIVAL
This festival celebrates the contributions of African-Americans to the growth and development of rock and roll music. Both national and local artists participate in this festival.

LATINO HERITAGE FESTIVAL
This festival celebrates the rich Hispanic culture and musical traditions. Both national and local artists participate in this festival.
