Astronaut Michael Good of Broadview Heights, Ohio, along with four other crew members who flew aboard space shuttle Atlantis to the International Space Station in May, visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum on Tuesday, July 13.
Joining Good was Commander Ken Ham, Pilot Tony Antonelli and Mission Specialists Garrett Reisman and Steve Bowen.
The crew shared highlights of their mission at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum at 1:30 p.m. on July 13. They also toured the Museum and presented Rock Hall President and CEO Terry Stewart with items that flew with the crew on the space shuttle. The items demonstrate the significance of music in space flight, from morning wake-up calls to each astronaut's personal choice of music to listen to while in space. These items include the official Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum flag, a copy of the lyrics for Jimi Hendrix's "Purple Haze" and the lyrics for Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the U.S.A."
