The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum will host a special evening presentation in conjunction with its latest special exhibit, Grateful Dead: The Long, Strange Trip, powered by McIntosh, with Grateful Dead archivist David Lemieux on Friday, November 9 at 7 p.m. Lemieux will be interviewed on stage in the Museum’s Foster Theater and share various audio and video clips from the Grateful Dead archives and take questions from the audience, as well.
This event is free with a reservation. Seating is limited. Reservations can be made through the Rock Hall website at https://tickets.rockhall.com or at the Rock Hall Box Office. Rock Hall Members can RSVP starting at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 1. General public can RSVP starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 2. This event will also be live streamed on rockhall.com.
David Lemieux has been the Grateful Dead's audiovisual archivist since 1999, and the group’s Legacy Manager since 2010. Over the past 13 years, David has produced dozens of CDs and DVDs drawn from the Grateful Dead's extensive archival holdings. Recent productions include the 73-CD Europe '72 box set, and the 18-CD Spring 1990 box set, as well as producing the quarterly 3-CD sets, Dave's Picks, which succeeded the legendary Dick’s Pick’s series. Lemieux holds undergraduate degrees in history and film studies, and a master's degree in film archiving. He currently resides in Victoria, BC, Canada.
