About Move Me Brightly
The exclusive screening of Move Me Brightly is a special Jerry Garcia tribute recorded at Bob Weir's TRI Studios featuring Weir himself and musician friends and admirers of Garcia.

About Anthem to Beauty

Anthem to Beauty looks at the span of the Grateful Dead’s music from 1968’s Anthem to the Sun, which was a hybrid of a live and studio album, and the 1970 country-styled album American Beauty. The story is told through new and vintage interviews with band members Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Jerry Garcia, and MickeyHart, guest musicians, and lyricist Robert Hunter, along with home movies from the Grateful Dead’s own archive. This film is presented courtesy of Eagle Rock Entertainment

About 7 Walkers

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Bill Kreutzmann, former drummer for Grateful Dead, formed his current band 7 Walkers in 2008 with guitarist/vocalist Papa Mali. Once the project began to evolve, Papa Mali called on his longtime friend Matt Hubbard, who toured and recorded frequently with Willie Nelson and worked on over 40 albums, making him an accomplished multi-instrumentalist. Today, 7 Walkers includes a revolving lineup of musicians including bassist Reed Mathis,  bassist George Porter Jr., (founding member of New Orleans’ iconic Meters) and New Orleans musician Kirk Joseph, the famed sousaphone player for Dirty Dozen Brass Band. 7 Walkers’ self-titled debut album was released by Response Records in November 2010. Most of the album's songs are co-penned by Papa Mali and longtime Grateful Dead lyricist Robert Hunter creating electrifying hybrid of classic Bay Area rock and New Orleans funk. Kreutzmann calls it “swampadelic.”

For both Kreutzmann and Papa Mali, 7 Walkers—whose name is borrowed from one of the band’s songs—is something of a dream come true. Kreutzmann has New Orleans in his DNA—his mother was born there—and he’s always appreciated the city’s music. “I have a real feeling for that music and I get along with the folks down there really well,” he says. “This music comes from the Tchoupitoulas, the Mardi Gras Indian tribes. They’re playing tribal rhythms and somehow it connects with my spirit.” The Crescent City also affected native Louisianan Malcolm (a.k.a.Papa Mali). Although he grew up in Shreveport, he made frequent trips during his youth to New Orleans, where his mom’s family was from. The first band Papa Mali ever saw performing live was the Meters and witnessing Dr. John work his voodoo magic back when Mac Rebennack had just become the Night Tripper had a huge effect on him. He was initiated irrevocably into the world of the Grateful Dead at age 15 when he saw the band at a 1972 Dallas gig. He became "Papa Mali" while touring with reggae great Burning Spear.

Since Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jerry Garcia’s death in 1995 death, Kreutzmann has kept active musically. He’s toured with various configurations featuring other ex-Dead members and has piloted a few bands of his own. But 7 Walkers is something special to him, due to chemistry among the players and Hunter’s involvement.
