Man oh Man was last night’s holiday edition of Rock and Roll Night School fun! And we all learned so much about a very special niche of music. In fact, we are thinking about doing this again and maybe streaming the program online. So……anybody out there, let us know if this would be something you would like to participate in…and if you can’t make it in person, consider possibly participating online or via the phone.
Below you’ll find a list of my favorite rock and roll holiday songs. Also, feel free to comment on all of the lists if you were here last night. Most importantly, let us know if we missed any holiday songs by Inductees.

Please revisit the Christmas themes discussion...it sounds fabulous! I loe my Rock and Roll Christmas Music and here's few of my faves:
Darlene Love "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)"
Connie Francis "I'm Gonna Be Warm This Winter"
Frankie Lymon "It's Christmas Once Again"
Big Dee Irwin & Little Eva "I Wish You a Merry Christmas"
The Beach Boys "Little Saint Nick"
The Pixies Three "Cold, Cold Winter"
Brenda Lee "Christmas Will Be Just Another Lonely Day"
Dodie Stevens "Merry Merry Christmas Baby"
I'm sure Terry can give me some brilliant insight on my faves as well!
Achievements of artists who have been ignored or forgotten by the crystal pyramid in Cleveland. We the fans, don`t have a fancy exhibit hall, expensive artifacts or shiny statues to present our artists, but we have the sincere desire to salute those who have been so meaningful in our lives. We have bought their records, attended their concerts, followed their careers and we want to show them our appreciation. That`s where the writers and critics don`t get it. They`ve created a great Hall Of Fame and its fun to visit, but the fans are detached and made to feel as outsiders. There is no interactive spirit, no sense of participation, in fact input by letter, petition or carrier pigeon has been discarded like yesterday`s paper. The artists themselves would want us to voice our input...who do the "experts" think they are ignoring with our (the fans) input? In order to be inducted an artist must have a "quality" and ' influence......INFLUENTIAL- to have a great influence on someone (i.e. the rock fan)or something (i.e. rock and roll music). Its obviously up to the interpreter...the committee is convinced that nominated artists must be "influential to the development of and perpetuation of rock and roll music". ... QUALITY- A factor in the Hall of Fame`s criteria for nominations... material and must have been "influential" to rock and roll.
I'm sorry the say, but the RR HOF has over looked some of the great artists for many years, such as Bobby Rydell, who 'OVER EXCEEDS' the Hall's requirements by far..What a great loss for the HALL.. Bobby Rydell still preforms to 'SOLD OUT' concerts, after performing for over 50 years, and is in very high demand...Sorry, but its my opinion, Mr. Rydell just may be 'TOO GOOD' for your crystal pyramid in Cleveland.
This is definitely something I’d be interested in having repeated, or joining by phone. It was the night before my son took high school semester finals, and I gave a final, so the timing wasn’t great for us, but it sounds really interesting and informative this holiday season.
